SALARY £OPEN (Depending on Experience) + Bonus + 20 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays (Reserve 5 Days for Christmas Shutdown) + Pension + Overtime

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday - 6am till 2pm - You will get 2 x 15 minute paid breaks and 1 x 30 minute unpaid lunch break.

There is flexibility with start times for the right candidate if 6am isn't suitable

They are currently recruiting for a Flexo Printer & Rewinder to join the production team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced label printer who is confident operating flexo printing presses and is happy to support slitting and rewinding operations as required. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards while meeting production schedules and customer expectations.

There is regular opportunity for paid overtime until 5pm when business demands require it. While overtime is not mandatory, the successful candidate should be willing and open to working regular overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up & operate flexographic label printing presses to produce high-quality printed labels
  • Run slitting and rewinding machinery to accurately finish printed products
  • Prepare machines for production, including setting inks, plates, substrates and tooling
  • Monitor print quality throughout production, adjusting to maintain colour consistency, registration and print quality
  • Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards
  • Complete production documentation and maintain accurate job records
  • Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance
  • Identify and report machine faults, production issues or quality concerns promptly
  • Minimise waste and maximise machine efficiency throughout production runs
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
  • Assist with other production duties within the converting department as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating flexographic label printing presses is essential
  • Experience within the labels or packaging industry
  • Knowledge of slitting and rewinding processes would be advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and rectify print quality issues
  • Reliable, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support wider production activities when required
