A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Flood Modeller to join their growing water team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a Flood Risk Engineer or Hydraulic Modeller looking to develop their technical career within a busy consultancy environment.
The Role:
- Undertake 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling using industry-standard software such as Flood Modeller and TUFLOW.
- Complete flood risk assessments, hydraulic assessments and drainage studies.
- Analyse hydrological and hydraulic data and interpret modelling results.
- Prepare technical reports and flood risk documentation.
- Support flood risk, drainage and water management projects across the UK.
- Work closely with engineers, planners and other technical specialists.
The Candidate:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Geography or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in flood risk, hydraulic modelling or drainage.
- Experience with Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM or similar software.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- Ideally working towards or holding a relevant professional qualification.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.
