Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer

My Client, a market leading Engineering and Environmental Consultancy with offices based in the heart of Bath, is searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their team in Bath.  You will be required to work from the office on a hybrid basis.   

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join an innovative team who specialise in civil and structural engineering for both public and private sector clients.  With a wide portfolio of projects you will have the chance to design flood risk and drainage solutions for stately homes, historic developments and palaces.   

As a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer you will be required to complete varied technical work including; 

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1,2 and 3. 

-Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS. 

-Flood Consequence Assessments.  

-Drainage, attentuation and SuDS design using infodrainage and causeway flow.   

-Design of sustainable drainage solutions for historical sites, stately homes and palaces.   

-Site visits to ensure designs are effective and appropriate for the development and in keeping with building requirements, for listed buildings.   

-Client meetings to discuss project progress.  

-Support team members with designs.

It is essential that applicants have a strong BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology or Environmental Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and design using infodrainage or causeway or AutoCAD.  

It is essential for applicants to reside locally, near to the office, as you will be required to work from the office, 3 days a week.  Security clearance may be required.
