FLT Counterbalance/Stores Operative in Coventry, West Midlands

We are recruiting for an experienced Forklift Counterbalance Driver / Stores Operative to join a busy manufacturing and engineering environment in Coventry.

This is a varied role combining forklift operation, goods-in, stock control and general stores duties. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring components, raw materials and finished products are accurately received, stored and supplied to production areas.

Hours:

• Days: Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4pm/ Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
• Nights: Monday to Tuesday 5:55pm-6:55am/ Wednesday 6:25pm-6:55am

Pay: £13 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Booking goods in and out using internal systems and paperwork.
• Picking, packing and issuing parts and materials to production teams.
• Organising and maintaining stores locations.
• Carrying out stock checks and inventory control activities.
• Identifying and reporting stock discrepancies.
• Ensuring materials are stored correctly and safely.
• Assisting with dispatch activities and preparation of customer orders.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Supporting production and warehouse operations as required.
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures.

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
• Previous experience within a stores, warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Experience loading and unloading vehicles.
• Good stock control and inventory management skills.
• Ability to accurately complete paperwork and use computer-based systems.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
