FLT Driver / Crane Operator

We are currently recruiting for a number of FLT Drivers/ Crane Operators  to join an extremely busy Manufacturing Engineering client based in Oldham on a permanent basis – positions available on permanent day shift.

These positions have been created due to company growth which has created growth within the team.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within a similar role with exposure to working within a Manufacturing Engineering environment with an understanding and appreciation for risk and hazards within this type of working environment.

Candidates will be required to aid with moving raw materials and finished products around the shop floor using a FLT (Counterbalance) and overhead crane.

Hours – Mon – Friday 7.30AM – 3.30PM

Job Responsibilities:

• General cleaning and tidiness within the workshop area.
• Assisting to load and unload deliveries.
• Supplying materials to work benches in preparation for the welder / fabricators/ machinists
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Operation of overhead cranes

Skills/ Experience Requirements:

• Experience working a manufacturing engineering environment.
• Confident with manual handling and comfortable with repetitive heavy lifting.
• Hold in date Counterbalance license
• Experience in operating overhead cranes – qualifications are advantageous.
