Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Forklift Truck (FLT) Instructor to join our Lincoln training centre on a six-month fixed-term contract.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Forklift Truck training to learners, ensuring they achieve nationally recognised qualifications whilst maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and learner engagement.

You will deliver practical and classroom-based instruction, assess learner competence and support individuals throughout their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver RTITB or LANTRA accredited Forklift Truck training programmes.
• Deliver practical and theory-based FLT training in line with awarding body standards.
• Prepare learners for successful assessment and certification.
• Carry out learner inductions and initial assessments.
• Maintain accurate learner records and attendance documentation.
• Complete all awarding body paperwork accurately and on time.
• Ensure all training is delivered safely and in accordance with current legislation.
• Maintain training equipment and report any defects.
• Promote positive learner engagement and attendance.
• Support learners to develop employability skills and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with the Learner Engagement and Delivery teams.
• Ensure training areas remain safe, clean and compliant.
• Follow all Momentum Training policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements

Current RTITB or LANTRA Forklift Truck Instructor Accreditation (in date).

Experience delivering accredited FLT training.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Strong organisational and administration skills.

Good understanding of health and safety legislation.

Ability to engage and motivate learners from a variety of backgrounds.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

Teaching qualification (Level 3 Award in Education & Training or equivalent).

Assessing qualification.

Experience delivering government-funded training programmes.

Experience working with unemployed learners.
