Role: FLT Operator

Location: DS Smith Packaging, Hurdon Road, Launceston, PL15 9HN

Salary: £13.98 per hour

Contract: Temporary

Hours: 37 hours per week | Double Days Shift
Shift Details: Week 1 (Mon–Thurs 06:00–14:00, Fri 06:00–11:00) and Week 2 (Mon–Thurs 14:00–22:00, Fri 11:00–16:00)

What You'll Be Doing:

As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of materials throughout the facility. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• FLT Operation: Safely operating Counterbalance forklift trucks to move, stack, and load products within the warehouse and production areas.

• Loading/Unloading: Efficiently managing the arrival and dispatch of goods to meet demanding distribution schedules.

• Stock Management: Assisting with inventory checks and ensuring all materials are stored safely and correctly.

• Safety Compliance: Adhering to strict site health and safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for the whole team.

What We Are Looking For:

• A valid Forklift Counterbalance licence is essential for this role.

• Proven experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.

• Ability to work effectively on a double days shift pattern with a focus on punctuality and reliability.

• Strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
