Flt Reach Drivers

Thrive Personnel are seeking a skilled Reach & Counterbalance FLT driver to join our clients busy warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling materials, loading and unloading goods, and supporting warehouse operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous warehouse experience to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment. Candidates must be proficient in operating forklift equipment and familiar with warehouse management systems. A strong focus on safety, organisation, and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
• Handle materials with care, ensuring accurate stacking and storage in designated areas
• Some manual warehouse work involving lifting
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing goods
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using warehouse management systems
• Perform basic equipment repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure operational safety
• Support warehouse organisation by maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Assist with stock rotation, order picking, and packing as required
• Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards

Requirements

• Proven experience operating forklift trucks (reach and counterbalance) in a warehouse setting
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshooting on equipment
• Strong materials handling skills, including heavy lifting and safe manual handling techniques
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping
• Basic maths skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities
• Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes is desirable
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to health & safety regulations
• Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly
• In date, accredited licences
