Connect2Swindon are seeking a dedicated and proactive Fly Tipping Rapid Response Operative to join our diverse and inclusive team.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming community spaces by swiftly responding to incidents of fly tipping.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driving license, experience as a Street works Operative, and a commitment to promoting environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly respond to reports of fly tipping across assigned areas, ensuring timely and efficient clearance.
• Drive a company vehicle safely and responsibly to attend various sites.
• Operate as a Street works Operative, adhering to all relevant safety standards and protocols.
• Liaise with, community members, and team members to coordinate response efforts.
• Document incidents, actions taken, and outcomes accurately using company systems.
• Promote awareness of waste disposal regulations and encourage community compliance.
• Maintain all equipment and vehicles in a clean and functional state.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines to protect yourself, colleagues, and the public.

Qualifications

• Valid driving license with a clean driving record.

Day-to-Day

A typical day involves responding promptly to reports of illegal dumping, driving between various locations using a company vehicle, and safely clearing debris from streets and public areas. You will interact with community members and local authorities, document your activities, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a respectful approach to all individuals you encounter are essential. Your proactive attitude and dedication will directly contribute to creating cleaner, safer neighbourhoods for everyone.
