We're working with a leading training provider to recruit a Regional Trainer to deliver apprenticeship programmes within the Food & Drink Manufacturing sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced production or manufacturing professional who is looking to move into a training role, using their industry knowledge to support the next generation of manufacturing talent.
You'll work with apprentices across a range of employer sites, delivering training, coaching and assessment both face-to-face and remotely, supporting learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.

The Role
As a Regional Trainer, you'll manage your own caseload and diary, visiting apprentices in their workplace and helping them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to successfully complete their programme.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering teaching, learning and assessment against relevant apprenticeship standards.
  • Supporting apprentices through to successful completion, including Maths and English where required.
  • Visiting learners at their place of work and building strong relationships with employers and workplace mentors.
  • Managing your own diary, caseload and travel to ensure learners remain on track.
  • Delivering a mixture of face-to-face workplace training and remote learning.
  • Monitoring learner progress, retention and achievement against agreed targets.
  • Maintaining accurate learner records and completing all required documentation.
  • Working closely with employers, learners and internal teams to identify and overcome barriers to progress.
  • Contributing to team meetings, standardisation and continuous professional development.
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in candidates with a strong background in Food & Drink Manufacturing and production environments.

You'll ideally have:
  • 3+ years' experience within Food & Drink Manufacturing.
  • Previous department, shift, production or multi-line management experience.
  • Hands-on experience working within and managing production lines.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and food hygiene.
  • Experience with production processes, quality standards and workplace compliance.
  • The ability to understand and apply fault-finding and problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Fishbone, DMAIC, PDCA or similar methodologies.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S and SMED.
  • Knowledge of SOPs, Quality Assurance and internal/external audit requirements.
We would also consider candidates coming from Line Leader, Machine Minder, Team Leader, Supervisor or Front-Line Manager backgrounds, particularly where you have experience across multiple production lines and have developed a broader understanding of manufacturing operations.

Training & Assessment Experience
Previous experience within education, training or assessment would be advantageous, including:
  • CAVA / TAQA / Assessor qualifications.
  • Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting apprentices or workplace learners.
However, strong industry experience is the priority, and candidates looking to make the move from manufacturing into training are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Need
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own diary.
  • Comfortable working towards targets and deadlines.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach.
  • Flexibility to travel across your allocated region.
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
  • Relevant Food & Drink Manufacturing qualifications would be desirable.
