We are currently recruiting an experienced Food Deputy Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, sustainable, locally sourced menus. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the success of our culinary team and service excellence. You will have a meaningful role in shaping culinary offerings and elevating standards in food prep and cooking.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting the Head Chef in creating and preparing innovative, sustainable menus,
Qualification – Essential
- GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Qualified chef with proven experience in menu design and kitchen management, confident in preparing fresh produce from scratch across various culinary styles.
- Introduction to Food Hygiene training
- Intermediate – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media
Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM
Criteria for Shortlisting - Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Some experience of preparing and cooking food- Food Hygiene Certificate In Place.
- Experience in stock management
- Social media savvy
- Specialist knowledge of one or more specific cuisines
- Experience of safe and successful catering operation, including latest licensing laws, food hygiene, health and safety regulations, appropriate monitoring regimes and staff training
- Demonstrable interest in sustainable food production and the food supply chain
- Organised and efficient, able to manage a busy kitchen environment and liaise with customer service staff
- Team player, with flexibility and a positive attitude
- Experience in catering or the service industry and knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations.
- Must be well presented with high standards of personal hygiene.
- Must possess overall, sensible shoes with non-slip soles essential
