Located on Longridge Road, Redscar, Preston.

£12.80 Per Hour

Job Overview

Working in a refrigerated manufacturing environment, producing meat items such as sausages, burgers, steaks, chops, mince etc for our well known client.

This role is at the end of the production line and will include the following duties:

Carry out end of line quality checks, in line with the relevant SOP's and quailty standards.

Check product weight, appearance, packaging, labelling, coding and seal integrity.

Packaging Meat & Poultry Items, using machinery

Ensuring all products meet the required customer standards.

Record all checks accurately on the required paperwork or electronic system.

Immediately report any non-conformances, defects or abnormailities.

To carry out checks at the required frequency, throughout the production run, not just at the end.

Maintain good hygiene, good manufacturing practices and health & safety standards, whilst carrying out checks.

Communicate any recurring issues to the relevant Supervisor so that all issues can be addressed.

A Good level of Spoken & Written English is required for this role.

Priority will be given to candidates that have worked in a refrigerated food production environment before.
