Food Operative

We are currently recruiting for reliable and hardworking Food Operatives to join our client in a busy food production environment.

This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to secure a permanent position for the right candidates.

The Role

Working 3:00am to 11:00am, you will work 5 days out of 6, with every Sunday off. The role will include working most Fridays as part of the normal working rota.

Key Duties

• Chopping and peeling vegetables
• Weighing and preparing produce accurately
• Carrying out basic food preparation
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures
• Keeping the work area clean and tidy
• Working efficiently as part of a team
• Completing other general food production duties as required

Working Environment

This is a damp and refrigerated working environment, so applicants must be comfortable working in cool temperatures and wearing the appropriate protective clothing for the duration of their shift.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable with a 3:00am start
• Hardworking and able to work at a good pace
• Comfortable carrying out repetitive food preparation tasks
• Able to follow instructions and food hygiene procedures
• A good team player
• Comfortable working in a damp and refrigerated environment

Previous food production experience is an advantage, but full training can be provided for the right person.
