We are currently partnering with a large, well-established food retail business with an international presence. With food quality, safety and customer trust at the heart of its operation, the business is looking for an experienced Food Safety Manager to join the team and support its continued growth across multiple markets.

The Role
As Food Safety Manager, you will take a leading role in shaping and delivering the food safety strategy across the international business.
This is a highly influential role where you'll work with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure food safety remains embedded within operational decision-making and future business plans.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the food safety strategy across international operations, driving consistent standards across all markets.
- Ensure products and operational practices comply with relevant food safety legislation and internal standards.
- Develop and continuously improve food safety policies, procedures and controls, ensuring they remain effective and fit for purpose.
- Oversee microbiological, allergen and product testing programmes, using results to identify risks and drive meaningful action.
- Identify emerging food safety risks and opportunities for improvement, implementing preventative measures and continuously raising food safety and hygiene standards across the business
Required
- Previous experience in a similar senior food safety position within food retail, foodservice or a comparable fast paced food environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK food safety legislation and regulatory requirements, with international exposure highly advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge of microbiological risks, contamination control and food hygiene.
- Experience managing allergen controls, surveillance and testing programmes.
- A strong understanding of food safety risk management and the ability to turn technical findings into practical actions.
- Experience developing and implementing food safety policies and standards across a complex organisation.
Salary
£55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
Location
London (SW) - Hybrid set up, with 3 days in the office per week
