Interim Specification Technologist (Food Manufacturing)
£350 per day + Expenses
Immediate Start | 2-3 Month Contract

A well-established food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Interim Specification Technologist to support the technical team on an initial 2-3 month contract.

This role offers excellent flexibility, with 1 day per week on-site and 4 days remote working.

The Role

• Manage and maintain customer specifications across retailer portals.
• Review, update and approve product specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Liaise with internal departments including Technical, NPD, Procurement and Operations.
• Ensure specifications meet retailer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Provide support during product launches and specification amendments.
• Work with retailer systems and customer requirements to meet strict deadlines.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience as a Specification Technologist within food manufacturing.
• Essential experience using Hive.
• Essential experience managing specifications for Aldi.
• Strong understanding of food legislation, labelling and retailer compliance requirements.
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
• Available for an immediate start.

Package

• £350 per day.
• Mileage paid at £0.55 per mile.
• Business expenses covered.
• 1 day on-site, 4 days remote.
• Initial 2-3 month contract.
