Clarence Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a successful and forward-thinking secondary school in Coventry to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their Design & Technology department.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to become part of a supportive and ambitious school community, delivering high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Food Technology for candidates looking to broaden their experience.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic practitioner who is committed to inspiring students, raising achievement, and contributing positively to the continued development of the department and wider school community.
The Role
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and creative Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality lessons that inspire students.
- Support students in developing practical skills, knowledge, and confidence.
- Monitor progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement.
- Maintain high expectations of student behaviour and learning.
- Contribute ideas and expertise to the continued success of the Design & Technology department.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who has:
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Food Technology.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4.
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or relevant teaching experience (desirable).
- Experience teaching A-Level Food Technology would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A creative, enthusiastic, and committed approach to teaching.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
