Simply Education is working with a secondary school in Northampton that are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Food Technology Teacher to lead and deliver lessons across a range of year groups.
The Role:
- Deliver practical and theory lessons on food and nutrition.
- Demonstrate tools and techniques including knife skills and live cooking.
- Supervise kitchen safety during practical sessions.
- Maintain equipment by inspecting machinery and managing ingredient stock.
- Prepare students for subject examinations like GCSEs and A-Levels.
We're looking for:
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- QTS/PGCE qualified.
- Enthusiasm, friendliness and approachability.
- Understanding of the secondary aged food technology curriculum and pastoral needs.
- Ability in delivering lessons and feedback.
- Confidence in behaviour management skills.
- Flexibility, independence and an ability to work effectively.
