Job Title: Mobile Building Services Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)

Summary
We are seeking experienced Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Engineers to join our mobile engineering team, supporting a portfolio of prestigious commercial properties across London.
This is a mobile role involving planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and minor works across a variety of M&E building services systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Facilities Management, Building Services or commercial maintenance environments and be comfortable working independently across multiple sites.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and/or electrical building services systems.
Complete reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs across multiple commercial sites.
Diagnose faults and restore equipment and services efficiently to minimise downtime.
Undertake minor installation works and remedial maintenance tasks.
Maintain plant and equipment including, but not limited to:
Air handling units (AHUs)
Fan coil units (FCUs)
Pumps and motors
HVAC systems
Lighting systems
Power distribution
Emergency lighting
Water systems and associated plant
Complete statutory compliance checks and maintenance activities.
Update service sheets, logbooks and maintenance records accurately.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
Produce and follow risk assessments and method statements where required.
Manage materials and spare parts required to complete maintenance activities.
Update CAFM systems to ensure accurate reporting and job closure.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional client relationships.
Liaise with and oversee subcontractors when required.
Undertake any additional duties as reasonably required by management.
Qualifications & Skills
Electrical Engineers
NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Testing & Inspection qualification (2391) desirable.
Mechanical Engineers
NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, Heating & Ventilation or Building Services Engineering.
Relevant mechanical maintenance qualifications and technical training.
Experience
Essential
- Previous experience working as a Building Services Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer within commercial buildings.
- Experience delivering planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
- Previous experience within Facilities Management, Building Services or a mobile maintenance environment.
- Good understanding of compliance and safe systems of work.
Desirable
Multi-skilled mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Experience working with BMS systems.
Experience in corporate offices, critical environments, data centres or high-profile commercial buildings.
Familiarity with CAFM systems such as Maximo, Concept, Service Channel or similar.
