Foreman - 6 months- Earthworks in Leicester, Leicestershire

Unite People are recruiting an experienced General Foreman for a six-month civil engineering contract. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, with a focus on earthworks and piling, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification and in line with the programme.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise earthworks and piling activities, coordinating labour, plant and subcontractors.

• Plan daily works and manage interfaces between earthworks teams and piling contractors.

• Monitor progress, quality and productivity, reporting to the site management team.

• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, RAMS and site safety procedures.

• Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks.

• Maintain site records and identify issues that could affect delivery.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a General Foreman on civil engineering projects.

• Proven experience overseeing earthworks and piling operations.

• Strong understanding of plant movements, site logistics and safe working practices.

• Ability to lead site teams and coordinate specialist subcontractors.

• Relevant CSCS card, SSSTS or SMSTS, and First Aid preferred.
