Foreman (Groundworks) (Plymouth) – Fulltime

An opportunity to work on our MOD project in Plymouth, delivering major redevelopment works over the coming years.

PAYE basis

Competitive rate depending on experience/qualifications

Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays)

Must Have:

• Black CSCS Manager Card
• Level 2 NVQ in Construction Operations – General Construction or Level 2 NVQ Construction & Civil Engineering Operations (Groundworks)
• SMSTS
• Previous experience as a Groundworks Foreman on major construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience in enabling works, including managing subcontractors
• Experience in core drilling, saw cutting, dowel installation and concrete base excavations
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
• Ability to manage and coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
• Reliable and proactive approach to work
• Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance
• Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years

This role is site based - Monday to Friday

45 hours per week 07:30am - 17:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate groundworks and enabling works across site
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate daily activities
• Oversee core drilling, saw cutting, dowel installation and concrete base excavations
• Coordinate labour, plant and materials to ensure works remain on programme
• Monitor workmanship and ensure works meet required quality standards
• Liaise with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and site management
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with project procedures
• Monitor progress and report any issues or delays to site management
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Support the successful delivery of major MOD infrastructure works
