Foreman (Structures) - Dublin Airport
Role Purpose
The Foreman - Structures will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of structural construction activities on a major project at Dublin Airport. Reporting to the Site Agent - Structures, you will ensure works are delivered safely, to the required quality standards, and in line with programme requirements and airport operational constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Delivery
- Supervise site operatives and subcontractors undertaking reinforced concrete, formwork, steel fixing, concrete pours, and associated structural works.
- Plan and organise daily activities in line with programme requirements.
- Allocate labour, plant, and materials efficiently to achieve productivity targets.
- Coordinate works with other disciplines and workstreams.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.
- Ensure compliance with approved RAMS, permits, and airport safety requirements.
- Deliver toolbox talks, daily briefings, and site safety inspections.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all work areas.
Quality & Programme
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Carry out first-line quality checks and support inspections.
- Monitor progress, identify constraints, and escalate issues to the Site Agent.
- Maintain accurate daily records of progress and resource utilisation.
Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, plant operators, and the wider project team.
- Attend coordination and planning meetings.
- Support permit management, quality records, and handover documentation.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Significant experience as a Structures Foreman, General Foreman, or Senior Chargehand.
- Proven background in reinforced concrete and structural construction works.
- Experience supervising direct labour and subcontractors.
- Valid Safe Pass certification.
- Ability to obtain Dublin Airport Security Clearance.
- CSCS Supervisor, Safety Supervisor, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of structural construction methods and sequencing.
- Ability to interpret drawings and construction documentation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience working in airport, aviation, or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience on major infrastructure, rail, civil engineering, or transportation projects.
- Temporary Works Supervisor and/or First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and collaborative delivery environments.
