Forest School Teacher Burnley

Are you a passionate, creative educator who loves inspiring children through outdoor learning? We are seeking an enthusiastic Forest School Teacher to join our team from January 2027.

This exciting full-time role combines the delivery of engaging Forest School sessions with high-quality PPA cover across our primary school. You will spend most mornings leading Forest School learning experiences before teaching classes across EYFS to Year 5 during PPA cover.

As our Forest School Teacher, you will:

• Deliver inspiring Forest School sessions that encourage curiosity, resilience and a love of the natural environment.
• Plan and teach engaging lessons across the National Curriculum for pupils from EYFS to Year 5.
• Provide high-quality PPA cover throughout the school.
• Create an inclusive, safe and stimulating learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Assess pupils' progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote our values through outstanding teaching and learning.

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification.
• Has proven experience teaching the National Curriculum across the primary age range.
• Has experience of, or a passion for, delivering Forest School or outdoor learning.
• Is enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to providing outstanding learning opportunities.
• Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
