Job Title: Forge Operator

Location: Leicester

Shift: Mon - Tues (2.30pm - 12.30am), Wed - Thurs (2.30pm - 12.15am). 15 minute paid break and half an hour unpaid break

Hourly Rate: £16.09 per hour

The Forge Operator Role:

• Set and operate machines to produce fasteners to strict tolerances
• Supporting in the production areas in the slitting and shot blasting
• Undertake training on all machines to ensure 100% flexibility in the workplace
• Uses gauges and measuring equipment to ensure product meets required specifications
• Self certification of your personal work
• Keep all computer files and manual paperwork accurate and up to date at all times
• Responsible for producing SPC charts and records
• To actively take part in locally focused, or multi-functional continuous improvement teams
• Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards
• Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to
• Work as fully flexible team member within the Company to maximise levels of production and quality
• To adhere to all company EHS requirements and actively participate in the identification and elimination of hazards.

The Candidate:

• Previous hot forging or press brake experience preferred
• Experience on hot press, slitter, and shot blasting required
• Power press training preferred
