This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced forklift driver looking for stable Monday-to-Friday night work, regular hours and the opportunity to earn overtime.
As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the warehouse. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving stock, materials and goods around the site while ensuring all warehouse procedures and health & safety requirements are followed.
Your main duties will include:
Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse and yard.
Loading and unloading vehicles safely and accurately.
Moving pallets and materials to the correct storage or loading areas.
Transporting stock around the warehouse using the forklift.
Assisting with the loading and preparation of customer orders and deliveries.
Checking goods and pallets for damage before moving or loading them.
Ensuring goods are stored correctly and safely.
Supporting the warehouse team with general warehouse duties when required.
Keeping loading, unloading and working areas clean, organised and free from hazards.
Carrying out daily forklift safety checks and reporting any faults or defects immediately.
Following site traffic management procedures and designated forklift routes.
Working safely around pedestrians, other vehicles and warehouse equipment.
Following company procedures for manual handling, loading and unloading.
Ensuring all goods are handled carefully to minimise damage.
Working as part of a team to ensure warehouse targets and deadlines are achieved.
Following all company health & safety, security and operational procedures.
Reporting any accidents, incidents, near misses or damaged stock to the relevant supervisor.
Carrying out any other reasonable warehouse duties as required.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
5:00pm – 3:00am
The role is based on a night shift, so applicants must be comfortable working these hours on a consistent basis.
Pay & Benefits
£13.33 per hour basic rate
£14.88 per hour overtime rate
£17 shift allowance for a no-accident shift
Monday to Friday working pattern
Regular night shifts

Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence
Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift in a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment
Good forklift operating skills and a strong awareness of workplace safety
Experience loading and unloading vehicles
Good attention to detail when handling stock and pallets
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Good communication skills
A reliable and hardworking attitude
Good timekeeping and attendance
Ability to work the full 5:00pm – 3:00am shift
Forklift experience is essential for this position.
