Forklift Driver

Location: Shoeburyness, Essex
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts – Week 1: 6am–2pm | Week 2: 2pm–10pm

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Shoeburyness, for an experienced Forklift Driver to join their busy production and warehouse team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and skilled operator to secure long-term, stable employment with genuine progression into a permanent role.

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to load, unload, and move stock around the warehouse and production areas

• Accurately pick, pack, and stack materials while maintaining stock accuracy

• Support general warehouse and manufacturing operatives during busy periods

• Carry out routine visual checks on the forklift and report any faults or damage

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with health and safety procedures

• Work efficiently within a rotating shift pattern to meet production targets

• A valid, in-date counterbalance forklift licence (in-house/company-issued licences will not be accepted – must be from a recognised training provider)

• Recent forklift driving experience gained within a manufacturing or warehouse environment (ideally within the last 6-12 months)

• Comfortable working rotating shifts (6am-2pm one week, 2pm-10pm the following week)

• Strong attention to detail and a good understanding of warehouse safety practices

• A reliable, hardworking attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team

• Own transport preferred due to shift times

• £13.00 per hour

• Temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate
