FORKLIFT FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER / WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN
$34 - $46 per hour | $50 - $65 per hour overtime (field uplift available)

Alecto Recruitment is working with our client who are a leading materials handling service provider operating across Texas, specialising in the maintenance, repair, and fleet support of forklifts, warehouse equipment, and industrial lifting machinery for major logistics, manufacturing, and distribution centres. They are a well-established and highly respected name within the US materials handling sector.

This represents an exciting opportunity to join a stable, growing business with strong regional coverage, consistent service demand, and long-term customer contracts across warehousing, logistics, and industrial operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary - $34 - $46 per hour
Overtime - $50 - $65 per hour
Field Service Uplift - + $2 - $6 per hour (where applicable)
Paid travel time (field roles)
Consistent overtime available

HOLIDAY:

  • Standard US PTO allowance (10-15 days depending on tenure)

The Role:

  • Service, maintain, and repair forklifts and materials handling equipment
  • Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults on industrial lifting equipment
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Attend site-based breakdowns across warehouses and distribution centres (field roles)
  • Complete workshop repairs and rebuilds of forklift components
  • Ensure equipment is safe and fully operational before return to service
  • Maintain accurate service reports and job documentation


Requirements:

  • Experience as a forklift engineer, materials handling technician, or similar role
  • Strong hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical diagnostic ability
  • Experience working on forklift brands such as Toyota, Hyster, Yale, Crown, or similar
  • Ability to work independently in workshop or field environments
  • Strong fault-finding and repair skills under pressure
  • Full driving eligibility for field service roles
