Forklift Operative

We are recruiting for an established manufacturing business in Camberley for a Stores Operative to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis, with a salary of £30,000 per annum. This is a varied, hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for the efficient running of the stores function and ensuring materials are received, stored and supplied to production as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and dispatch stock to customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Load and unload deliveries and collections.
- Operate a Counterbalance Forklift to move materials safely around the site.
- Maintain accurate electronic stock records and associated documentation.
- Issue and receive consumables and materials.
- Keep storage areas clean, organised, secure and safe.
- Assist with stock control and inventory management.
- Operate company vehicles to collect and deliver materials when required.
- Support the wider production and stores team as needed.
- Previous experience working in a stores, warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Valid accredited Counterbalance Forklift licence – essential.
- Good computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.
- Experience with an ERP system would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Reliable, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills and a flexible approach.
Monday–Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
40 hours per week, with a 45-minute lunch Monday to Thursday.
