Yard / FLT Operative

Location: Deeside
Pay Rate: £13.39 per hour
Hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm

About the Role

Permanent Recruitment Solutions (PRS) is recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Yard / FLT Operative to join a busy site in the Deeside area.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced yard environment, involving the sorting and handling of recyclable materials, loading and unloading vehicles, and moving stock around the site to support the smooth day-to-day running of the operation.

The ideal candidate will be practical, safety-conscious and comfortable working in a busy operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading containers and vehicles.
• Sorting recyclable materials and removing unsuitable items.
• Operating a forklift truck to move and manage stock around the yard.
• Carrying out daily equipment checks.
• Moving, handling and rotating stock safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Following all health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Liaising with the weighbridge team and other site staff.
• Supporting the smooth running of daily yard operations.

Working Hours and Pay

• Hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm.
• Location: Welshpool.
• Pay: £13.39 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a yard, FLT or recycling environment would be advantageous.
• A valid FLT licence would be beneficial.
• A good understanding of health and safety in a working environment.
• A reliable, hardworking and proactive attitude.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A willingness to carry out physical, hands-on duties in a busy yard environment.
