Foundation Learning Lecturer

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible educator to deliver high-quality instruction and tailored learning support to students within a foundational education programme.

Role Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality, inclusive lesson materials that adapt to the varied academic and functional needs of individual learners.

• Coordinate initial academic assessments to identify specific support requirements and monitor student progression across modules.

• Manage student conduct and support classroom discipline proactively in accordance with established institutional standards and frameworks.

• Oversee and guide learning support assistants while collaborating on quality monitoring and internal verification processes.

• Champion student welfare by strictly adhering to institutional policies regarding health, safety, and the protection of vulnerable groups.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience teaching post-16 learners and adapting educational approaches to motivate students with diverse abilities.

• Strong organizational capabilities with a track record of meeting strict deadlines and efficiently managing independent workloads.

• Solid written and verbal communication skills, complemented by competent digital capabilities for educational delivery.

• Minimum of GCSE Grade C (or equivalent qualification) in both Mathematics and English Language.

• Absolute commitment to student protection, backed by a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and awareness of safeguarding duties.

• Desired but not essential: Possession of a formal teaching credential (such as a Certificate in Education) or an undergraduate degree.
