Elevation Recruitment Group are seeking an ambitious and commercially focused Commercial Accountant to join a growing business based in Rotherham. This is a high-profile role that will partner closely with senior leadership to provide financial insight, drive performance, and support strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will support in FP&A delivery for the business,  manage budgets and forecasts create financial models and report on performance across the business. This role is ideal for a qualified finance professional who enjoys business partnering and wants to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and influencing business outcomes through data-driven analysis.

Duties will include: -

  • Lead the annual budgeting process across all departments.
  • Develop and maintain rolling forecasts and long-range financial plans.
  • Produce monthly management reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
  • Deliver insightful variance analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support strategic planning through robust financial modelling and scenario analysis.
  • Partner with operational and commercial leaders to improve profitability and performance.
  • Challenge assumptions and provide financial insight to support business decisions.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, business cases, and growth initiatives.
  • Analyse customer, product, and channel profitability to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support pricing, margin optimisation, and cost management initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for senior management.
  • Develop and enhance management information and reporting processes.
  • Monitor business performance against budget and forecast targets.
  • Support month-end and year-end reporting activities as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes.
  • Support the development of finance systems, tools, and reporting capabilities.
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth and professionalisation of the finance function.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences: - 

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a commercially-focused role 
  • Excellent communicator, able to deal with stakeholders at all levels 
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capability
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • Commercially minded with strong business partnering skills
  • Experience working within a growing, dynamic business environment
