Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive Fire Risk Assessments (FRA) specifically focused on fire doors.
• Inspect fire door frames, panels, hardware, intumescent seals, and gaps to ensure compliance with current UK fire safety regulations.
• Utilize digital handheld devices or specific compliance software to record survey data and upload detailed reports.
• Identify defects, non-compliance issues, and clearly prescribe required remedial actions (e.g., repairs or full replacements).

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven track record working as a Fire Door Surveyor or FRA Inspector.
• Qualifications: Recognized industry qualification in fire door inspection (e.g., FDIS, BM TRADA, or FireQual accreditation).
• Knowledge: Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of UK Fire Safety legislation and British Standards (such as BS 8214).
• Tools: Full UK driving licence, own transport, and standard surveying tools/PPE.
