Who We Are Looking For

• Experienced freelance interpreters and translators
• Professionals for medical, legal, business, and conference settings
• Specialists in spoken, written, or sign language
• Individuals committed to accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation (consecutive, simultaneous, liaison)
• Deliver professional translation of documents and materials
• Maintain confidentiality, impartiality, and accuracy
• Attend in-person or remote assignments via phone/video
• Prepare for assignments with relevant terminology
• Meet deadlines and communicate effectively with coordination teams

Professional Standards

• Confidentiality in handling all client information
• Impartial and neutral communication
• High level of accuracy without omission
• Punctuality for all assignments
• Adherence to professional bodies like CIOL or NRPSI

Skills & Qualifications

• Fluency in English and at least one other language
• Qualification in interpreting, translation, or linguistics
• Proven professional experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage schedules

Desirable Skills

• Experience in healthcare, legal, or business interpreting
• Remote interpreting experience (video/telephone)
• Valid DBS or willingness to obtain one
• Membership in professional bodies (NRPSI, CIOL, ITI, ASLI) - not a deal breaker
