Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Lower Thames

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a major civils and infrastructure project in the Lower Thames area.

This is a predominantly site-based role suited to a commercially strong QS with solid NEC experience and a background in civil engineering/infrastructure.

The role will focus on:

• Change management and cost capture
• Issuing contractual notices
• Identifying and protecting commercial entitlement
• Recording and notifying programme impacts
• Managing commercial risk and project costs
• Working closely with site and project teams

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong civils/infrastructure QS experience
• Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts, ideally NEC3
• Experience with Defined Cost / Option E
• Strong understanding of change and contractual notifications
• A proactive, commercially astute approach

The project has significant commercial activity, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to make a real impact.
