Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Hotel Refurbishment | Central London

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile £40 million hotel refurbishment project in Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a prestigious scheme involving the refurbishment and transformation of a luxury hotel, with a well-established contractor delivering a complex, fast-paced project.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial management of the project from site through to final account.
• Procurement and management of subcontract packages.
• Preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and payment applications.
• Cost reporting, forecasting, and budget control.
• Management of subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities.
• Close collaboration with the project team to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
• Attendance at client and project meetings.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major construction or refurbishment projects.
• Hotel, high-end residential, or commercial refurbishment experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative project team.
• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred.
