Freelance Site Manager - Blackpool

A well-established North West construction and demolition contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a major demolition and remediation project in Blackpool. The project involves the demolition of existing hospital buildings alongside associated concrete repair and structural remediation works. This is a long-term freelance opportunity running through to Christmas with the potential for further work thereafter.

Your New RoleYou will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of demolition and concrete repair works on a live site, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key duties will include:

• Managing subcontractors and site operatives
• Coordinating demolition and structural repair activities
• Maintaining health and safety standards across site
• Conducting inductions, toolbox talks and site briefings
• Monitoring programme progress and reporting to senior management
• Managing site documentation and compliance records
• Liaising with clients, consultants and project stakeholders

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Previous experience managing demolition projects
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to start immediately
