Freelance Site Manager – New Build Residential Project

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a new build residential development in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract on a well-established project, with work expected to run through to March 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and site labour.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance is maintained at all times.
  • Monitor progress against programme and resolve any site issues.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, client, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Carry out site inspections, inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Maintain accurate site records and reporting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build residential projects.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – Essential.
  • First Aid at Work – Essential.
  • CSCS Card – Essential.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to start immediately.
