Freelance Site Manager - Holiday Cover

Clements Young is currently recruiting an experienced Freelance Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a high-profile, multi-million-pound refurbishment and development at a prestigious commercial scheme in the Woodhall Spa area.

Working alongside a well-established regional main contractor, you will take full operational responsibility for the site footprint over a 4-week period, ensuring daily progress remains on programme, sub-contractors are coordinated effectively, and health & safety standards are maintained to the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, site logistics, and sub-contractor coordination.

• Conduct morning site inductions, RAMS reviews, and daily toolbox talks.

• Monitor progress against the schedule and liaise directly with visiting Contracts Managers.

• Maintain strict health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – Essential.

• First Aid at Work (FAW) – Essential.

• CSCS Card (Black Manager or White Professional Card) – Essential.

• Proven track record managing regional commercial, refurbishment, or high-spec build schemes.

• Strong communication skills and a professional site presence.

• Note: An informal face-to-face site introduction with the client prior to the start date will be required.
