We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join our team on a long-term social housing refurbishment programme across street properties in East London, working for a well-established main contractor.

Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a programme of occupied kitchen and bathroom replacement works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day site operations across occupied street properties.

• Oversee subcontractors and direct labour to ensure works are completed in line with programme targets.

• Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring full site compliance.

• Liaise with residents, client representatives, and the Contracts Manager to provide excellent customer service throughout the programme.

• Monitor quality, productivity, and progress across multiple properties.

• Carry out site inspections and ensure all documentation and reports are completed accurately.

• Coordinate works to minimise disruption to residents while maintaining programme delivery.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering social housing refurbishment projects.

• Previous experience managing occupied kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes is essential.

• Experience working across dispersed street properties is highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality standards.

• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate works across several occupied properties.

• Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work certificates.
