French and Spanish Teacher – Part-Time Maternity Cover

TARA Professional Recruitment are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Telford to recruit a French and Spanish Teacher for a part-time maternity cover position.

The role is due to commence after the half-term break and will initially run until December, with the potential for the position to continue beyond this date. The role

As a French and Spanish Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons across French and Spanish, helping pupils to develop their language skills, confidence and understanding.

The successful French and Spanish Teacher will teach across the relevant secondary age groups and will be expected to deliver well-structured lessons, assess pupil progress and maintain a positive and purposeful classroom environment.

You will work as part of the school's Modern Foreign Languages department, contributing to the wider life of the department and supporting pupils to make strong progress in their language learning.

This opportunity would suit a French and Spanish Teacher who is looking for part-time work and is able to commit to the maternity cover period, with the potential for the role to continue beyond December.

 

Requirements

To be considered for this French and Spanish Teacher position, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised teaching qualification.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in French, Spanish, Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching French and Spanish within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective language lessons.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • The ability to plan, prepare and deliver lessons that meet the needs of pupils across different ability levels.
  • A flexible and professional approach to teaching.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
