Part-Time MFL Teacher Required in Nottinghamshire
Prospero Teaching are delighted to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Nottinghamshire that is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis (Monday to Wednesday) from September 2026 until October 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective French and Spanish lessons across KS3 and KS4, inspiring students to develop their language skills and cultural understanding.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT looking to gain valuable experience within a supportive and welcoming school environment.
The Role
As the successful MFL Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality French and Spanish lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Monitor, assess and report on student progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Contribute to the wider success of the MFL department.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching both French and Spanish at secondary level.
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning.
- Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Can motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
- Is committed to achieving positive outcomes for all learners.
Requirements
- QTS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching French and Spanish to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
