Full Stack Developer (ReactJS / Java)

Job Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer
Contract: 6 months initially - Inside IR35
Working Pattern: Full Time / Hybrid working on client site

We are looking for a talented individual to join their dynamic team, driving engineering excellence and change while delivering top-notch applications for users managing their banking activities.

What You'll Do:
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in:

• Hands-On Development: Delivering code to production and supporting the system's architecture aligned with a microservice structure.
• Leading by Example: Driving the team to deliver code at an accelerated pace, showcasing reliability and volume of change.
• Engagement: Actively collaborating with business and engineering leadership to understand requirements fully and disseminate them across the team.
• Innovation: Bringing fresh ideas and solutions to the table, leveraging your understanding of broader requirements.
• Global Collaboration: Working seamlessly with a global team, coordinating activities across various regions.
• Problem Solving: Proactively removing impediments and communicating risks to programme management.
• Process Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity.

What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should possess:

• Extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in designing, developing, and deploying backend applications.
• Proven expertise in driving engineering and cultural change across teams.
• Experience designing microservices and understanding wider microservice architecture.
• A strong track record of leading teams to deliver production changes with high cadence.
• Proficiency in CI/CD practises and development.
• Skills in designing and delivering RESTful APIs to production.
• Extensive experience working with PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong experience with Java
• Familiarity with container technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• Expertise in developing UI applications using ReactJS.
• Experience migrating databases, such as from MongoDB to PostgreSQL.
• A background in the financial sector
