PIP Functional Assessor – Weston-Super-Mare

£40,000–£42,000 | Hybrid | Monday–Friday | 9am–5pm

The Role As a PIP Functional Assessor, you'll:
  • Conduct face-to-face, video and telephone assessments
  • Assess how health conditions and disabilities affect daily living and mobility
  • Take detailed clinical histories and ask structured questions
  • Review medical evidence and supporting information
  • Apply clinical reasoning and professional judgement
  • Consider how an individual's condition affects their functional ability
  • Produce detailed, accurate and evidence-based reports for the DWP
  • Work within relevant PIP assessment guidelines and processes
This is an assessment and report-writing role — there is no treatment or direct patient care involved.

Who We're Looking For:
  • NMC Registered Nurses – RGN, RMN or RNLD
  • HCPC Registered Physiotherapists
  • HCPC Registered Occupational Therapists
  • HCPC Registered Paramedic
  • GPhC Registered Pharmacist
You'll need:
  • 12+ months’ UK post-registration clinical experience
  • Active NMC or HCPC registration
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Good report-writing, typing and IT skills
  • Confidence working independently and managing your workload
Please note: This role is not suitable for candidates looking for hands-on clinical care, a fully remote position or a role with minimal computer/report-writing work.
