Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for a Ganger to begin work for a well-established company working on a major project in Orkney. Candidates can be based in Edinburgh.

About the role:

Working Hours - 12 days on / 2 days off OR 11 days on / 3 days off, 7:30am – 6:00pm
Pay Rate - £250 - £300 per day (depending on experience)
Brief Role Description –

We are looking for an experienced Groundworks Ganger to lead a team working on a substation project in Orkney. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising groundworkers, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Duties will include:

• Leading and coordinating a groundworks team
• Overseeing drainage and ducting works
• Ensuring quality and productivity standards are maintained
• Supporting day-to-day site operations
• Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed
• Working alongside the project team to deliver works on schedule
• Long-term work until the end of the year
• Start: ASAP

About You:

• High work ethic & strong leadership skills
• Punctual & reliable
• Previous experience as a Groundworks Ganger / Supervisor required
• Experience managing groundworks teams essential
• Experience with drainage and ducting works preferred
• CSCS required
• SSSTS required
• First Aid required
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
