Job Description – Working Foreman

Location: Preston, Lancashire
Reporting To: Site Manager / Project Manager

An experienced Working Foreman is required to support the delivery of infrastructure works in Preston. The role involves supervising site operatives and subcontractors while maintaining a hands-on approach to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate will coordinate labour, plant, and materials, maintain health and safety standards, monitor progress, and liaise with the Site Manager and project team to ensure works are delivered in accordance with the programme. They will also be responsible for maintaining site records, promoting good housekeeping, and ensuring high standards of workmanship are achieved.

Applicants should have previous experience within civil engineering and infrastructure projects, hold a valid CSCS card, and possess strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. A full UK driving licence is essential, and SSSTS or SMSTS, First Aid, and relevant plant tickets would be advantageous.
