The Role

As a Garage Door Installer, you'll be responsible for installing high-quality roller shutter garage doors at customers' homes across your local area.

You'll represent the business professionally, ensuring every installation is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while delivering excellent customer service.

Training is fully paid. Successful candidates will attend a one-week training course in Leeds, where you will receive comprehensive practical training, collect your company vehicle and equipment, and learn everything you need to begin working independently.

Following completion of the training, you'll return to the Watford area and carry out installations locally with ongoing support from the business.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for candidates with hands-on experience in industries such as:

  • Construction
  • Telecoms
  • Building trades
  • Pipefitting
  • Maintenance
  • Installation engineering
  • Other practical installation or engineering roles

Previous garage door installation experience is advantageous but not essential. If you have transferable skills, a practical background and the right attitude, full training will be provided and paid for.

Essential Requirements

You must:

  • Be confident using power tools and hand tools
  • Be physically fit, as the role involves regular lifting and manual handling
  • Have strong practical and problem-solving skills
  • Be comfortable working in customers' homes and delivering excellent customer service
  • Hold a full UK driving licence that has been held for at least one year
  • Have a clean UK driving licence
  • Be reliable, professional and have a strong work ethic
  • Be able to complete site paperwork accurately and follow health and safety procedures
  • Be willing to attend the one-week paid training course in Leeds
