Gardens assistant

Planet Recruitment are looking for a Gardener to join a client of ours in Oxford.

The position is available on a casual basis, starting as soon as possible, with potential for up to 40hrs per week.

However, some weeks may involve fewer hours due to seasonal requirements.

There is the possibility of the position leading to a permanent role.

Previous experience in a gardening position desirable.

General duties include:

• Keeping sites clear of litter, leaves and snow
• General maintenance of all lawns
• Respond helpfully to visitors regarding gardens/plants queries
• Assisting to maintain hedges
• Assist, as required, at the sportsground
• Assist in sowing seeds, potting and watering

Essential skills and experience:

• Demonstrable experience of caring for lawns or gardens
• Passion for gardens and working with plants
• Awareness of relevant health and safety regulations
• Enjoy working outside in all weathers
