MMP Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of a leading social housing contractor for an experienced Compliance Manager (Electrical & Gas) to join their team in South West London.

Location: South West London

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

Working closely with senior leadership teams, client representatives, and specialist contractors, you will take ownership of the delivery and performance of electrical and gas compliance services across a large housing contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional with a strong background in social housing to drive operational excellence, strengthen governance, and ensure statutory obligations are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational management of electrical and gas compliance activities across the contract.
  • Review, develop, and strengthen compliance governance processes and controls.
  • Monitor contractor performance against agreed KPIs and service level standards.
  • Manage key subcontractor relationships, ensuring accountability for performance and compliance.
  • Ensure all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements are achieved and maintained.
  • Review reporting processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Drive consistency across management information and compliance reporting frameworks.
  • Analyse performance data and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of compliance processes, systems, and contractor outputs.
  • Identify compliance risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the compliance function.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and operational teams to ensure service delivery objectives are met.

About You

  • Proven experience managing electrical and gas compliance programmes.
  • Previous experience within a social housing, housing association, local authority, or contractor environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of statutory compliance requirements relating to residential housing assets.
  • Experience managing contractors and monitoring performance against KPIs.
  • Strong governance, auditing, and compliance monitoring expertise.
  • A track record of reviewing operational processes and driving service improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • The ability to quickly assess existing operations and identify opportunities for enhanced performance.
  • A proactive approach with a commitment to compliance excellence and continuous improvement.
