Gas Engineer

We're looking for a Service & Breakdown Engineer to join a well established and growing team, supporting residential customers by ensuring their heating systems remain safe, efficient, and reliable.

The Role

As a Service & Breakdown Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of domestic heating systems, ensuring customers receive a professional and efficient service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a range of gas, oil, and solid fuel heating appliances.
• Complete planned servicing and reactive maintenance work on boilers, fires, and associated heating systems.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with current industry regulations and safety standards.
• Produce and maintain accurate service reports, safety documentation, and certification.
• Manage van stock effectively and coordinate with suppliers when required.
• Participate in an on-call rota to provide emergency support and assistance outside of standard working hours.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional approach at all times.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will possess a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Essential Requirements

• Current domestic gas qualifications including ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1, HWSS1, CMDDA1 and WREG.
• Previous experience in a service and breakdown engineering role.
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining excellent health and safety standards.
• Full UK driving licence.
