Role Details
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Gas Engineer to join a Social Housing Contractor on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, fault finding, repairing, and maintaining domestic gas heating systems within occupied social housing properties across the Dudley, Wolverhampton, and Sandwell areas.
Location: Oldbury and surrounding areas
Salary: £36,000 - £37,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00am to 17:00pm
Call Out Rota
- Compulsory Out-of-Hours Emergency Call-Out Rota
- Working one week on, one week off
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out annual gas safety inspections and landlord gas safety checks.
- Service domestic gas boilers, heating systems, and associated controls.
- Diagnose and repair faults on domestic gas appliances and central heating systems.
- Complete reactive breakdown repairs within occupied social housing properties.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with Gas Safe regulations and company standards.
- Accurately record completed works using a mobile job management system.
- Deliver excellent customer service while working in residents' homes.
- Work efficiently to meet scheduled appointments and service level agreements.
Essential Requirements
- Gas Safe Registered
- Current ACS qualifications including CCN1 and CENWAT (additional modules advantageous)
- Proven experience in domestic gas servicing and breakdown repairs
- Experience working within social housing environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
