An opportunity has become available for a Gas Engineer to join a Local Authority Housing Repairs team on a temp-to-perm basis. The role involves carrying out repairs, servicing and installations within void and tenanted properties across South Shields and South Tyneside.


Key Responsibilities
 
  • Carry out gas servicing, repairs and installations.
  • Undertake maintenance work within void and occupied properties.
  • Ensure work is completed safely and to required standards.
  • Cover properties throughout South Shields and South Tyneside.
  • Deliver a professional service to tenants and residents.


Requirements
 
  • Domestic Gas ACS Qualifications.
  • Previous experience carrying out domestic gas repairs and maintenance.
  • Experience working within occupied and void properties.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.


Salary & Benefits
 
  • £20.00 Ltd per hour (PAYE equivalent £17.16 per hour).
  • Temp to Perm opportunity.
  • 37 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
  • Holiday allowance.
  • Sociable working hours.
  • Overtime available.
